Longshan Lake

Longshan Lake,located at the head of Longshan Mountain,started in January 1958 under the name of the mountain.It was built in response to the call of the Central Committee of the CPC to promote water conser-vancy.In that era when supplies were scarce and equipment was scarce,it was carried by the surrounding farmers.It took only half a year to build it by hand.The reservoir dam is 14 meters high and the dam-type homo-geneous earth dam is open to traffic.The water capacity is 290,000 cubic meters.It is the smallest lake among the three lakes in Zhongyandang Mountain.However,Longshan Lake has a unique side.It is in front of the totem jade peak of Zhongyandang Mountain.Whether it is overlooking the Yujing Peak from the lake,or looking at Longshan Lake from the top of the jade peak,it is a beautiful scenery.It is unique in the beautiful scenery of Zhongyandang Mountain.Before the tap water of Nanxi River was not connected,Longshan Lake was a reserve source of water in Liubai District,Yueqing City.Longshan Lake has beautiful scenery,and walks along the winding lakeside path all the way to the other side of the lake,as if it is in the center of the lake,the breeze is blowing,very pleasant.
